OUR COVID-19 Statement
We have taken advice from British Canoeing , and our Insurers and we are able to rent our Canoes, Kayaks and SUPs on the Thames given the current advice from the authorities.
Friday 5th June will be our last day launching at the public slipway in Marlow on St Peter’s Street. Customers will need to find parking in the town nearby.
From Saturday 6th June we are back at our Bisham Abbey base as normal – Please note that only customers with pre-bookings may come on site.
We are asking Canadian Canoe and Double Kayak customers to be from the same household.
For SUPs and Single Kayaks, bookings for same household or up to six people from different households.
If from different households, we are managing social distancing when on our site and promoting this during the hire.
We ask all customers to follow the latest advice from the Government regarding lock down measures
We have a fully Risk-Assessed hygiene program in place to keep our kit clean and some measures in place to protect customers and staff during handover and safety briefings.
We advise all customers to bring drinks and snacks/food in sealed bags as the usual conveniences are shut – (Although the convenience store in Hurley is open).
Customers are also advised to bring anti-bacterial gel or wipes to clean hands before eating and drinking.
Our customers are not required to wear gloves, face masks or PPE equipment whilst using our kit, but can at their own discretion.
Customers on SUPs and Kayaks will be advised to portage (carry) boats across the locks – nothing unusual there for us!
Hirers will be required to read and sign in addition to our Standard Hirer Terms, our additional COVID-19 TERMS prior to hire.
We look forward to seeing you in the fresh air soon!
